July 29th Memorial of St Martha, Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 33 OR Psalm 105)

PSALM 33

R.) I will bless the Lord at all times.

OR

R.) Taste and see the Lord is good.

I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise always on my lips; in the Lord my soul shall make its boast. The humble shall hear and be glad. (R.)

Glorify the Lord with me. Together let us praise his name. I sought the Lord and he answered me; from all my tremors he set me free. (R.)

Look towards him and be radiant; let your faces not be abashed. This poor man called; the Lord heard him and rescued him from all his distress. (R.)

The angel of the Lord is encamped around those who revere him, to rescue them. Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is happy who seeks refuge in him. (R.)

Revere the Lord, you his saints. They lack nothing, those who revere him. Strong lions want and go hungry but those who seek the Lord lack no blessing. (R.)

OR

PSALM 105

R.) Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.

They fashioned a calf at Horeb and worshipped an image of metal, exchanging the God who was their glory for the image of a bull that eats grass. (R.)

They forgot the God who was their saviour, who had done such great things in Egypt, such portents in the land of Ham, such marvels at the Read Sea. (R.)

For this he said he would destroy them, but Moses, the man he had chosen, stood in the breach before him, to turn back in anger from destruction. (R.)

Alleluia, alleluia!

I am the light of the world, says the Lord: anyone who follows me will have the light of life.

Alleluia!
